Birders develop avian friendships

     Never mind that the birds are wild, backyard birders often refer to their regulars as "my birds." And they do more than just watch; devoted birders often develop a bond, a relationship or a special friendship with their avian charges.  Read more at The Backyard Birder in the Orange County Register.
