Caring for baby hummingbirds

Rescued Allen's hummingbird nestlingsPhoto by Monique Rea.
Rescued hummingbirds require feeding every 15-20 minutes throughout the day. Babies always have a better chance with the mother, so observe the nest closely for 45 minutes before assuming nestlings are orphaned.
Go to The Backyard Birder in the Orange County Register for the full story.
Happy birding!
