See wild birds of prey March 1

The American kestrel is one of the smallest birds of prey.

Grab your camera and meet me at the Wild Birds Unlimited in Mission Viejo from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 1. Volunteers from the Orange County Bird of Prey Center will be there with their  education birds such as the American kestrel shown in the photo.  These birds are non-releasable because of their injuries. In addition, they often bring a Harris hawk, burrowing owl and a great-horned owl.
Wild Birds Unlimited is at 24481 Alicia Parkway in Mission Viejo, located next to LA Fitness.
