Get involved in Audubon's Christmas Bird Count

Armed with binoculars and field guides, a cadre of birders organized by the local Sea and Sage Audubon chapter will tally the avian species throughout the county during the upcoming Christmas Bird Count. Birdwatchers of all skill levels are needed to join in the event.

Birders will break into teams to cover designated areas of south Orange County on Dec. 14, in the northeastern canyon areas on Dec. 15 and along the county's northern coast on Dec. 29.
