Doves in love

Mourning doves display courtship behavior.  Photo by J.J. Meyer
Love is in the air! Mourning doves have 1-6 broods per season.  They're not particularly bothered by humans and often nest under the eaves on patios and in hanging baskets.

Nesting season is far from over.  Many species have several broods per season.  So please do not trim trees or bushes until late fall.  Even then, you have to monitor the tree to make sure birds have safely fledged.

Happy birding!
