It seems strange for a bird to nest in the winter, but not if you happen to be an Allen's hummingbird living year-round in Southern California. A well-known hummingbird named Phoebe (or one of her offspring) is already sitting on two eggs, laid on 11/22 & 11/25. Expect hatching on December 8 & 10. View it live at Phoebe Allen's Web Cam.
