Are you seeing fewer nutmeg mannikins?

I used to see large flocks of these gregarious birds at my feeder in Mission Viejo. During the past year, they have been scarce. In fact, I haven't seen any in recent months.

Have you noticed a decline?

    Hi Jennifer, I used to see them in my backyard, but they left about 3 years ago. I loved seeing them. They were so adorably cute and travelled together in a little flock.

    I saw a group of three at my backyard fountain in Santa Ana yesterday. I had never seen them before.
