While many human dads are relaxing today, most daddy birds won't
even get a break, as their demanding work continues from dawn to dusk. Female birds often get the credit for nesting and caring for the young. But many bird species share this responsibility. Bluebirds, house finches, black phoebes, Nutall's woodpeckers, California towhees and mourning doves are just a few that come to mind.
