The Sixth Edition of National Geographic's Field Guide to the Birds of North America was released earlier this month. It's been five years since the 5th edition was published. Casual birders may not want to invest in a new field guide, but it's important to me to know the latest information on ranges and migration patterns. So this is on my Christmas list.
